I love to read and during the Halloween season I read as many "spooky" books as I can.  Every year I create a new bookmark to use for the season and thought it would be fun to use one of the collage sheets from Altered Pages  for this year's.  It's been a while since I used my Gelli plate so I got it out and found my bottle of black paint to create the background.   When Jean sent me the Black or White Cat collage sheet (2180) I knew I wanted to add some of it to a tag  as a cut out to create my bookmark so I chose the girl on the broomstick to be the focal point of my creation and then added the 3 bats from the collage sheet to add some more spookiness.   This is how it turned out.  I'm already excited to use it this Halloween season to hold my place in my book.   If you like to read, as I do, be sure to take the time to create a bookmark to enjoy as you are reading yo...

Hi everyone!! Becky here today to share a few Christmas (YES! I said "Christmas!" It's NEVER too early!!) cards I created using some papers made from my Gelli Prints . If you haven't gotten your Gelli yet, you can find it HERE ! They are so much fun to play with - REALLY! I took it on a girls trip this weekend & I spent HOURS making papers on cardstock & old book pages! Once my girlfriends tried it, they were hooked too! It's totally addicting!! Anyway, on to the art! Hello everybody, Ingrid here. I'm so excited to share this tag with you because it took my old puzzler some trial and error to come up with a solution to using die cuts with foil. My first attempt was to take a sheet of scor-tape and run it through my die cutter. The idea was that I would peel off one side and place it onto the background, peel off the top layer and then press the foil on it. Well that's great for circles and leaves but for the damask die cut there were some long skinny parts to it so when I tried to peel off one side it just stretched and stretched. Then it folded over itself. I even tried placing wax paper over the picture of the damask die for "perfect" placement so that I could then flip the whole thing sticky side down onto the background and peel away the wax paper. I just couldn't get the little skinny pieces to behave. Then I noticed that I had a negative cut out of the damask (the part left over after the pieces are taken out) sitt...

I know that the Design Team has posted there projects using the Gelli Plates , but I just had to post my project I did the other day when I was "playing" with my Gelli Plates ! I love this new product ! I could spend the whole day in my studio playing with this ! You can get your Gelli Plates HERE  ! You will not be disappointed ! I wanted to use mine to create some tags, so I got out some stamps, dies that I had cut out , and my Brushsticks ( fabulous tool )  ! After I applied various paints I used my stamps , dies & made some designs with the Brushsticks. Laying the tags down on my Gelli Plate and then lifting up each tag and seeing your new design  is half the fun !!!
