I am seeing CIRCLES! I have always enjoyed working with Lost Coast Designs Stamps, they make my mind work in new ways. I used the 5 Circles Lost Coast Designs Stamp because the freedom and irregularity spoke to me.  I've always been an abstract kind of girl. I rarely have a plan when I create, which can be a detriment or a blessing.   I get a basic idea and then get going.   I like the BOHO look to the circles and wanted them to be very colorful.   I used memento markers for coloring and my KAI scissors for cutting. Are your May flowers blooming?  If not, never fear, we've got plenty of spring blooms here at Altered Pages!   These blush beauties inspired my latest little book.  It has an origami pocket center signature, with a vellum stitched liner and heavy cardstock cover.   If you're interested in instructions for the origami guts, you'll find them HERE .  You can see that the inside of the pocket pages was white, but I lined them with deli paper gel plate  prints:   You can see I added ink and stamping and some spray inks to the cover and origami signature. I am honored to be the first to wish our blog followers a most Happy New Year!!!!! I hope everyone had a very happy holiday and is ready for an inspired, art-filled New Year. Today I have for you a little plan ahead project that will come in two parts.  Today is part one and in two weeks I will present part two.  For part 1 I have made a Valentines Day card.  This can be used to invite your sweetie to the dinner where part two will come into play. So, let's begin... First, I made a card out of this beautiful 1 2x12 card stock from Alteredpages.com .   There are so many papers to choose from and the stock is always fresh...you can find just a few of them here .   I sized the card appropriately to an envelope I had on hand and based the measurements on that.  I added an extra piece of scalloped edge craft paper to the inside after adding a bit of color with my Staz-on in purple.
