Hello, Jen Rothstein here for Altered Pages. Today I would like to share some sweet vintage inspired ATC's with you. ATC's or Artist Trading Cards are a great way to share techniques and share a small piece of your creativity. Many online trade sites are out there and if you search, I am sure you can find many local art and craft stores that host trades as well. Once you do an ATC, you kinda get hooked, I know I did. Now I have binders full of other people's artwork! Supplies: Glue ATC cards Paper Joss Paper Deco Mache paper (Green Roses) Vintage Text Laser cut outs Borders Washi Tape Embossing powder (Not so rusted penny) Embossing fluid or a stamp pad Memento Ink (pistachio) Dew Drops   Supplies ready! With Valentine's Day just around the corner I could not resist making a card for my first project this month.  I know Valentines are usually red or pink but we are celebrating green this month and Sabor Papel has a beautiful green design in their Amor collection.  Because green is not a traditional Valentine color, this design would also make a terrific anniversary card. Supplies: Sabor Papel Amor Collection - paper and embellishment cut outs Young Lovers II collage sheet Gold Glam Sticker Corners Gel Xtreme PEN gold Adhesive Memento Tear Drop ink pad Sponge Dauber Choose which part of the background you wish to use. Ink the edges of each piece just to hide the white paper core.  I also sponged ink around the background about 1/4 - 1/2 inch from the edges. I cut into the design to separate the two leaves and the two large roses so that the other elements could be interwoven.  I just touched up the cut area with a pink marker ...

Color of the Year GREENERY,  I decided to make my own GREENERY with Splash inks  available at AlteredPages.com!       I decided to take the ATC's I shared on Saturday and make them in to cards.  They needed a mat for that would look good with all the greens in the ATC.     My ATC's before (above) and after (below).       To create the green I wanted I used 3 drops of blue Splash Ink and 5 or yellow Splash Ink.  Spritz watercolor paper with water, with a water brush  lightly brush the paper with the color.    On the first one while it was still wet I sprayed it with a  green mist.  The mist flowed and blended into the wet color.
