Bookmaking from Scratch and a Happy Father's Day

Jean here, I have been making books of various kinds and want to share them with you. Each has different yet similar aspects.    Beginning with heavy weight cardstock or chipboard, many cuts are made and then construction begins.  Some may call these folios. Double-sided tape is used to attach the folded layers together to create the pages.   I corner round many sheets too.  I use glue sticks for attaching the decor papers. Each book contains multiple flaps, pockets, inserts and layer upon layers of great hiding places! Waterfall flaps also hidden pockets for photos or??? I am also in process of a cookbook for my granddaughter, I found a perfectly sweet paper pad complete with cupcakes, cherries, polka dots, and checkerboard.  Vintage pinks and black. The center is a waterfall to allow recipe cards to be attached or for photos of enjoying the finished meal. I have darling recipe cards, waterfall portions...

Cookin' with Sabor ~ Part dos

Hi, Jean here to finish off my Colorful  Cookbook. Cookin' with SABOR

Hi guys, Jean here today, it's SUNDAY. First, I must say....Our Design Team Artists are truly creating spectacular projects this month.   Please comment to let them know you appreciate their work. Everyone enjoys a pat on the back, it feels GOOD! My plan is to create a cookbook with Sabor papers for this week and next.        I do very much like to cook and entertain, always have from the time I was a kid and experimented in Mom's kitchen, doesn't every kid make poached pear crepes for her sleepovers? We hold all sorts of parties, Pie Fest in the Fall, Shrimp Boil in the Spring, birthday bashes for friends......  and just good old Bunco, cards and 'it's time for wine' gatherings!   I am using Sabor papers to make my cookbook festive and visually fun.    I like to use three ring binders so that I can add new items as I choose in plastic sleeves. I personalize and give some of these as wedding shower or housewarm...
