Sweet Floral Treasure Box!

Last month I has honored to be a little part of a very special day... my cousin's wedding!  Here in the Pacific Northwest we have had one of the rainiest years on record. The wedding day was blessed without any rain! It was a great pleasure working with  the bride and groom on their wedding invitations. Many don't know this, but at one time I did a lot of cake decorating.  Yes, I made the bride and groom a small wedding cake.  The most wonderful part of the day was I got to photograph the event.  No I am not a professional, but I do enjoy taking pictures! Here is a peak at the day! This was David and Leah's day.   The invitations, all edges lined with silver pen, were sent out weeks ago!     The cake had been baked the day before and final decorating touches were done on site.       The Bride & Groom in front of the small church they were married in!   ...

Geli Press Paris and Carnival!

Experimenting with the Gel Press and acrylic paints ! Love the wonderful backgrounds they created. Just two colors of acrylic paints and here are the results I got. On a couple of them I placed circles punched and placed on the plate after painting.  The paint lifted, then I ran the brayer again and got a really cool effect. This sheet has a bit of punchinella used for texture!  The prints were left to dry! Using the Circle Background Stamp with black ink on an acrylic block .  Black embossing powder  was used on the ink.   After heating the embossing powder, punchinella and black ink was used to add another layer to the opposite side of the sheet.      Adhere a black Bazzill Edge just off center of the card with  glue .  Use ONE of a KIND Jolee's Stickers to embellish the card.... this would make a cute birthday card! Using the Diamond Background Stamp with blac...

My Marie Paper Journal Part 3 of 3

This has been a wonderful paper journal to make.  USArtQuest handmade papers made this a very special paper journal.  Today I am going to share the cover of my journal.  I am very pleased with the outcome. I hope you enjoy it!         To start cover the front of the book and the back with USArtQuest handmade papers, adhere with PPA.     Adhere lace with PPA around the border of the front cover .   Use a Glam Frame Sticker to frame a Marie Antoinette Altered Pages collage image ... use metallic rub-on to distress the frame.   Mist three shabby roses with desired colors.  Finally spray with gold  Shimmer Mist , let dry. Speed up drying with a heat tool, being careful not to burn the fabric.     The gold  Shimmer Mist  gives the  shabby roses  a vintage look.  Once the roses are dry add a little bit of PPA to the edg...
