What a perfect pairing with our partner this month...Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.   I have made for you a Sari Silk, beaded, charmed and bejeweled necklace.  The crowning jewel on this piece, however is not a jewel at all... it is a Gypsy Laser Cut Clock Hand .     This is what we started with, Sari Silks, charms, and the hour hand laser cut. I want to point out that this is not a silver toned necklace or gold toned piece. I purposefully used silver tone, gold tone, semi-precious beads, wood beads and crystals.    I wanted this to truly go with anything.  This is also not symmetrical. I love experimenting, don't you? Various techniques, mediums, tools, and how they interact with one another. It's so exciting!  Well, I discovered such fun when I played with my Gelli Plate and my newly acquired deli paper. Great prints and patterns on a thin translucent paper. What to do with them? I held them up against my recently de-stashed clear acrylic tags and eureka! The exciting discovery unfolded before my viewers on Periscope and I was thrilled with the results. Gift-giving is not exclusive to the holidays. There are plenty of opportunities to bestow a blessing that you created.   Handmade gifts were all the rage this year!   Thank the hipsters for bringing crafting back in a big way. (My crafty daughter, Kimberly, jumped in to make one of these cuffs her own. The dark inks give the appearance of leather.)   The  Activa Modena Soft Polymer Air Drying Clay  is a wonderful product for many crafting needs.  I was able to mold and cut this light and flexible clay to create cute cuff bracelets.   To start I rolled a portion of the clay into a snake and then flattened it.  At about an inch wide and 2/8 of an inch thick (this will flatten when you stamp it.)   Use a textured  rubber stamp  to press the clay into.    Gently peel clay off of the rubber stamp and trim the edges until straight.  Lay the strip of clay over a rounded s...

Can you believe is it DECEMBER?  There are 24 days of shopping left until Christmas!!!  December is special for the Altered Pages Design Team... our product partner for the month is ACTIVA .  We are really excited to share all the wonderful products they have.  Today I am playing with Activa  Ridge Wrap.      To start gather your supplies to work with Ridge Wrap: scissors, balloons ( small water balloons), container for warm water, protective cover for table.   Cut the Ridge Wrap in strips (about 1 1/2 x 4) and blow up balloons... you are now ready to start applying Ridge Wrap .       Wet Ridge Wrap thoroughly in the bowl of warm water, remove excess water.  Slightly overlap each piece as you add them to the balloon.  When applying, rub the Ridge Wrap to help close the plaster holes in the wrap.           Apply the first layer of Ridge Wrap...
