Faerie Song Cards

Hello everyone!  Barbara here today.  I hope your week is off to a good start.  I have a couple of cards to share again, using these wonderful rubber stamps from our partner,  Faerie Song Art Stamps .  I think you will find that these stamps work wonderfully together with Altered Page's products!   Castle in the Forest Card: I first stamped the  Castle in the Forest  image onto one of the  Collage Background I  images with Vintage Sepia ink.  The image fits perfectly, as you can see below.  Of course, if you get the digital collage images, you can resize them to whatever size you need. After stamping, I trimmed around the image to fit an A2 size card that I made from pink card stock.  I always use my  Scor Pal  to make the center fold crease for crisp folds.  I also cut a piece of the  Adhesive Corrugated  kraft card slightly larger than the stamped image.   I resize...

Spring is blooming in Arizona!  It's Jean here to share some wonderful Springiness with you today. Flower Power and fresh colors come with Spring. Another Spring Idea for you, available as a Kit.... As you may know, the Mailbox Muse is our sister company and we think the last art kit by mail we created was a real winner, filled with lovely ideas.   Here is one of the projects we offered in the Kit.  A Springtime joy! This individual project is available as a separate kit if you choose to order one. We incorporated tart tins, wooden spools and sweet little birds celebrating their love of Springtime.      We hope your town is warming up and the birds will be chirping to plan their own spring party.

Prince Charming is just one kiss away...

Hi, Stephanie here and I have a fun spring project for you and I am using a "charming" little stamp from  Faerie Song Art Stamps as my focal point as well as other goodies from Altered Pages !  I will include a supply list at the bottom of this post for your convenience. We have all heard the tales of kissing a frog in hopes of meeting Prince Charming, right?  Well, your Prince is here....sort of.     I began with cutting a circle out of a piece of heavy cardstock using the glass cloche as my template.   This would ultimately be the base of my design that most everything gets glued on to.    Next, I created the toad stool for my little Prince to perch upon.        I did this using the cardboard toilet paper role, cut to a smaller height and diameter.  I included a typical Bic pen in the image above for size reference.   I then covered it with vintage t...

Down the rabbit hole

Hi Everyone, Jess here with an Alice themed tag.   I had this fairy stamp from  Fairie Song Stamps  and I wanted to use just the mushrooms.  I used my Staz On ink to stamp the mushrooms onto shrink plastic.   Once the ink was dry I colored in my images using colored pencils.  I poked holes in the top of the mushrooms, but didn't end up using the holes. I used my heat gun to shrink the images and set them aside.  Notice how intense the colors are! I always keep that in mind when I use shrink plastic.   I cut my Alice  image out and changed the words on her tag from "Drink Me" to "Eat Me."  I glued a tiny mushroom onto her hand and set the image aside. To make my background I used a dye ink and stencil.  Once I had the entire tag covered I shifted the image and covered up what I had just inked leaving the manila exposed.  I used a second ink color and then my whole tag was covered! It's a super easy way...
