Altered Pages + Crafter's Workshop = Great Mixed Media

Hi Gang!
Today I have for you a little sneak peek at an upcoming mixed media flower kit that is available By clicking here.

This will consist of papers, tulle, embellishments and detailed instructions for you to make your very own huge paper flower for ANY occasion.
For my flower I am adding yummy details with The Crafters Workshop Stencil (created by Julie Fei-FanBalzer - Lacy Tiles) and Shimmery Goodness to kick this paper flower up a notch.
Here we have floral shapes cut from 12 x 12   Halloween Papers.
 Cut this little snip.....
Overlap and glue using PPA glue.  I cannot stress enough how PERFECT this adhesive is for this medium. There really is no other choice!
After curling the paper, layering with tulle and adding a vintage button we have a beautiful, textural flower that can be used in so many projects...no limits!   As mentioned, full details in an upcoming kit........
They are like chips...you can't stop at just one............

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
