HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
I love creating Valentines...
Today I used one of the Altered Pages wooden angels
to create this cute Eiffel Valentine!
To start remove the wire hanger for easier painting.... save if as it will be reattached in the end. Prime the wooden angel with gesso!
Paint the angel with Pink Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint, let dry. Cut arms and face from Altered Paper Dolls Collage Sheet. Using VersaMark on the arms heat emboss with clear embossing powder, repeat a couple of times (this stiffens the paper). Stamp image of Eiffel Tower on tissue, heat emboss with clear embossing powder and adhere to the angel body.
Attach arm with Tacky Glue
Use Duo to attach Gold Leaf Foil. Adhere face from Altered Paper Dolls Collage Sheet to head. Ten attach Dew Drops to wings and head.
Print "Eiffel love you forever angel" on the printer. Cut and adhere to ribbon.

Now for an organizing tip.... from my craft room... ribbon storage tips!
I keep a lot of ribbons and lace in plastic bags.
I buy a lot of ribbon by the yard... when you buy by the yard you don't have a mice spool to store the ribbon on. I use binder clips to keep the nice and neat!
I have plastic containers dedicated to my ribbons.
That wooden angel could have been designed with that Eiffel Tower stamp in mind because it fits so perfectly! Your angel is adorable!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Angel and great idea of how to store ribbon. I have mass quantities of ribbon and fiber and I will be borrowing this idea.
ReplyDeleteThe angel is so clever ♥ I pinned to pintrest and will be sharing on facebook! I store my ribbon and lace the same way but it needs straightened up!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever angel indeed! I love her Lyneen! What did you use on her head- did I miss that?
