Fairy Dreams Tag

This month we are teaming up with Sin City Stamps to bring you some fun combo projects using stamps and/or chipboard from this fun company.

Today I wanted to share my fairy themed tag...

Fairy Dreams

The green background was created by placing a stencil over a piece of white cardstock. Spread a layer of heavy body gesso, modeling or embossing paste over the stencil.  Carefully lift off the stencil and you have a fun design left on the cardstock.  Once dry you can color with desired medium.  For this example I used Silks Acrylic Glaze.

The Anime fairy was stamped on watercolor paper and colored using watercolor pencils and blended with a Niji Waterbrush.  A bit of clear Stickles Glitter Glue was added to her wings for a bit of  sparkle.  Once everything was dry I fussy cut her and mounted her on the tag using double stick foam tape to pop her off the background for a bit more dimension.

  1. Roni, I really like the tag. The soft aqua color almost makes her look like a water sprite. Very pretty!

  3. Love how you stenciled the background. I hope one day to master that technique without making a mess of my project. :-) Awesome job!
