Falling Leaves ATCs

Hi Everyone!  It's Danie here today!  Haven't the ATB Block projects been fabulous this month?  I actually don't have one to share today as the mail hasn't reached me in time downunder so instead I have been playing with some of the new Ink Products that are available at Altered Pages from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko.

This year our Autumn has been one of the warmest on record for a number of years across the country and apart from the odd night or two we have not needed a jumper or overly warm clothing, which I love however  I am envious of those in much cooler climates who get to experience the magnitude of colors of a true autumn with falling leaves and crisp nights as the closest I get to such a sight is via the internet. So as we bid farewell to our Autumn here in Australia I decided to make some Falling Leaves ATC's.

Supplies:

I started by brayering ink (Pistachio and Peanut Brittle) over Cream Cardstock and cutting this to ATC Size.
Next using my Mini Circle Explosions Stencil I sprayed the design onto my background with Dylusions Ink before using my stamps and the Rhubarb Stalk Ink to add further details.

To finish I layered a scrap of Glitz Paper, a strip of burlap, my premade Autumn leaves and Dew Drops and lastly rounded the top right corner of the card.

Next month the entire Altered Pages Teams will be showcasing projects using products from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko so be sure to pop back regularly and check them out.....I am sure you will get some useful tips about the various inks they make too!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.

Full Circle

Hi all! Becky here today! I have been in a circle-mood lately & have been doing circles on everything! So why not do some circles with some of my Gelli Prints??? Here's a simple little card I made using 4 different circle punches, a black pen & some previously made Gelli prints! Hope you're enjoying Springtime in your area! Cheers!
