Colors of the Season Challenge

Yes, it's time for another fun challenge here at Altered Pages!
This months theme is "Colors of the Season"...
Now that's not to say it's only red and green for Christmas but it could be whatever the season means to you.

For me though I did stick with red and green because Christmas rules our home in December!  I love the whole deal, the lights, baking, being with family, the tree, singing, etc....   It's always been a big part of our year even when I was a kid.

So here is the project that I was inspired to make...

I started off with the book covers which are the 2"x2" pieces of Eco Board.  Great little pieces for making books, jewelry, embellishments and so much more!

I then added pieces of the Hello December line of paper and Chevron Tape from Glitz on each page plus various images from the Holiday Postcards collage sheet plus a little holiday poem from my collection and ended up with this little book...

Back of the pages - Merry Christmas!

So there you go....

My little bit of inspiration for this month's theme

Be sure to check out the rest of the beautiful designs from our Design Team on the
Altered Pages Challenge page to be inspired.

Have a great day ~

  2. IDENTIFYING GOD"S RELIGION?

Are numbers of the membership of a Christian denomination or of a non-Christian religion a valid indicator of identifying God's true religion? No, it is not.

    NUMBERS

    1. Islam 1.3 billion.
    2. Catholics 1.2 billion.
    3. Hinduism 828 million.
    4. Those who identify themselves as Christian, other than Catholic, 1 billion.
    5. Baptist 110 million.
    6. Buddhism 364 million.

Identifying the Lord's church is not predicated on the number of members of a group or church.

There are 7 billion people in the world.

Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to to life, and there are few who find it.

TERMS OF PARDON TO ENTER THE NARROW GATE.

    1. Faith: John 3:16, John 8:24
    2. Repentance: Acts 3:19
    3. Confession: Romans 10:9,10
    4 Water Immersion: Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, 1 Peter 3:21

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
