When I was drifting off to sleep last night listening to the sleet / ice hitting the window I was thinking how nice it would be to be some where warm - LOL!!
As a result I wanted to share a collage I made using artist spackle, metallic mists, some of Altered Pages beautiful vintage beach images and a few other goodies...
Memories of the Sea....
I applied a thick layer of the Artist Spackle to a game board (cut to size). Then while the spackle was still wet I embedded a strand of faux pearls, sea shells, sea glass and a pearl.
After the spackle had dried I applied various shades of the dye mist ink to the entire board.
I then set about creating a collage of summery beach images in the center and even included a small vial filled with sand collected while visiting NJ.
So, if you're stuck inside watching the rain/ice/snow coming down...
don't fret - summer is on it's way :)
Until then, stay safe, warm and
enjoy some crafting time inside!
Ink Stained Roni
Love it. I do remember those mights of listening to the rain and snow falling, sometimes a beautiful lullaby and other times, impending stress! This piece is lovely and soothing to look at.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Roni, I really love how you have embedded the pearls to tie all the elements in together. xx
