For your Halloween Party (or dinner table) Planning

Here are some fun ideas for a totally horrible dining experience.    Adults and Kids will love it!
Jean here again - Can you tell I'm feeling the change in the season?
It's not always easy in Arizona where it will not cool off until the end of October.
We do notice the sun changing it's path and it's no longer 117 degrees.

We used Bazzill gold paper with a canvas texture, but you can use any paper.   You can find the word collage here which includes more names for you to use.  It can be ordered digitally to print for yourself or can be ordered printed on the Bazzill gold paper as seen, among other papers.

After creating the cardstock images rip the paper toward yourself to get those nice textural edges.  We inked some of the individual signs and left some plain.   Then we added dollar store plastic roaches and Bazzill raven black paper flowers, then 'Gilding the Lily' with rhinestones of gold and white.

We then got some hor d'ourve picks (any leftover party picks will do) with flat tops; covering or painting them on the backside if needed.    We glued the bottom 1/3 of the  paper onto the picks and VOILA, signs for each dish served.

Any dip can become Dried Roach dip by adding chopped black olives, the Peeling Scabs, dried cranberries,  Dragon Poop was donut holes.  Tape worms can be gummy worms or any onion dip made by slicing long strands of the onions and sauteeing them before adding to dip ingredients.  Roasted eyeballs were chickpeas baked with tumeric (very good for you).   Festering eyeballs can be either peeled grapes or cocktail onions.  All so simple but what a bang for the buck!   one collage, one piece of paper and WOW.   We will include recipe for Diaper Doo Poo with Pooper Scoopers.

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
