Inspirational Flip Book

Jen Rothstein here for Altered Pages... I have an awesome inspirational Theresa Collins Flip Book for you.  I used all Altered Pages products, with the exception of the quotes. I don't know about you, but when I need a little boost (like when you don't know how to use your new phone), I love to look at quote cards or a book like this with a little inspiration to help get me through. The cool color now is green and I used a few different shades in this one. Supplies you will need: Theresa Collins Flip Book Altered Pages green ATC collage sheet Dew Drop Ink in Pistachio Deco Mache paper in green roses Theresa Collins borders (Past Present Future) Joss Papers Vintage Text Pages Bazzill Edges Mini 6x5 adhesive Ideas for what to put in the book include, but are not limited to:  Images , photos, quotes , journaling or maybe even ephemera from a trip! All the awesome items I used! I started by ripping images out of the Vintage Papers a...

Spring Dragonflies

I know it's only February, but the weather here in Michigan has been warmer than usual and that has me thinking of spring.  We're still celebrating GREEN here at Altered Pages Artsociates and that is the perfect color for spring!  Products Used: Graphic 45 Artisan Style 6x6 paper pad Library pocket Tag Dragonfly Dreams rubber stamp set Double-sided adhesive & glue stick Ink (pigment, if you plan to emboss) Clear embossing powder Dauber The Graphic 45 Artisan Style paper pad has three different pages of green designs and each one is two-sided.  I used the paper as panels, strips and squares so that each element of my card blends seamlessly with the next. I started by cutting 1" strips of each of the patterns.  Some of the strips got cut into 1" squares.  I laid the squares out on the book pocket until I found a combination that I liked and then glued them down.  It wasn't until the pocket was finished that I real...

A Day for Green

With Greenery as our theme this month I once again turned to some paper off cuts from some previously used Graphic 45 and Glitz Papers along with some Gel Prints .  Nature always comes to mind but as it was a day for Green I turned to a day for Green - St Patrick's Day which is just around the corner. One of my Graphic 45 Papers was themed with this day in mind so it was easy to find some wording and images of shamrocks .     If you are looking specifically for Green Papers then the Emerald Paper Pad by Authentique is perfect for you, you'll find it over in the Altered Pages Store. For my project today I started by simply tearing up my paper offcuts and sticking them down randomly onto a piece of a manilla folder.  . After this had dried I simply sprayed them lightly with some Green Ink Spray and once this was dry I cut 3 ATC backs and inked the edges with Green Ink and worked out placement of my imagery and text. My g...
