Special Ornaments for the Tree

I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects from the Altered Pages Design Team this month!  We have had a great time using Altered Pages products with our partner Craft Attitude!       One more Christmas project... PAPER DOLL ORNAMENTS!!!       To make double sided ornaments, print a page of Altered Pages Christmas Paper Dolls 1864 on copier paper and a sheet of Craft Attitude™.       Adhere the paper dolls on the copier paper to thin chipboard.  The chipboard about as thick as a cereal box is perfect.  Fussy cut the chipboard, then adhere the Craft Attitude™ copy of each paper doll to the back side of the chipboard.   Add twine to hang them from the tree!     For the outfits with hats attach them with twine. Add Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle!!   Remember all collage sheets can be purchased digitally or printed.  Digital...

Christmas card with Attitude

Hi everyone...Robin here with a Christmas card for you.  My card features two Altered Pages Colorful Christmas collage images which were printed on Craft Attitude and then adhered to cardstock.  I printed on the Craft Attitude film instead of directly on the paper because it gives the card a silky finish.  The background of the card is made with a piece of plastic film in the rattlesnake pattern.  There is a piece of red Punchinella on top.  The Punchinella came in one of the Mailbox Muse kits.  They are always filled with artsy treasures!  I took a glue stick and daubed here and there all over the back of the Punchinella ribbon to hold in place. Once the plastic background panel was attached, I glued on two paper borders which help hold the Punchinella firmly in place.  Then the main image was attached with a strong double-sided tape .  I searched my stash of embellishments and came up with two u...

a shabby silky fairy pouch with Craft Attitude

After my initial success transferring the Alice In Wonderland text to a satin covered paper, what could be left but to try Craft Attitude on silk? Using the same technique that Roni did in her Vintage Glove Collage , I added a lovely little Altered Pages collage fairy to a piece of very textured silk: You can see from the close-up how the film forms to the fabric, almost as if this little cutie is woven into the silky slub. I'm thinking it should have a beaded strap? Happy Thanksgiving to all our Altered Pages stateside friends! :)trisha

Vintage Ice Skate Transformed

I have had lots of fun using Craft Attitude printable film this month and I have one final project to share with you.... I transformed a pair of vintage ice skates into a fun piece of art that you could use to decorate your home, give as a hostess gift or as a fun personalized present for anyone on your gift giving list!   The best part...you can decorate both sides differently.  I went with a Victorian Christmas on one side and an Ivory Angel on the other for a generic Winter feel so that it can be displayed for several weeks this holiday season. Craft Attitude Printable Film Altered Pages: Victorian Christmas ; Christmas Ivy ; Ivory Angels ; Aleene's Tacky Glue; IMAGINE Crafts Ink And here is a handy little Snapguide on how to go about making one of these Vintage Skates all your own: Check out How to Alter a Christmas & Winter Themed Ice Skate by Roni Johnson on Snapguide . Thanksgiving Canvas

Hello again friends and Happy Friday! Stephanie here and as you may know  Altered Pages  is teaming up with  Craft Attitude  all this month. I can honestly say the Craft Attitude printable film is so fun to work with.  You will see here that using Craft Attitude, a 8x10 canvas board as well as beautiful collage images I create a Thanksgiving themed project that I think would make the sweetest hostess gift.   I started by preparing the canvas with gesso.  I then added a mottled layer of beautiful Art Anthology Acrylics. (sorry this is somewhat blurry, you get the idea, yummy gold and burgundy colors as a base) Next, I trimmed to size a piece of burlap and adhered it to my canvas with a few dabs of glue.  Then, came time to add my main image using the Be Thankfully Calm collage sheet from Altered Pages.  This was printed on the Craft Attitude film.  Because my main image was text it was very impo...
