Textured Seed Packets with IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko

Hi everyone it's Danie here today.  I love playing with color so when I received the fabulous Radiant Neon Inks from IMAGINE Crafts I knew they would soon be one of my favorite inks to play with.

Today I have a decorative seed packet for you which makes a perfect way to enclose and give a gift card or you can fill it with anything you heart desires.  This one was designed with an upcoming seed packet swap in mind.

After cutting out my Seed Packet I used Gel Medium with a stencil to create some texture. Once this was dry I sponged color over the packet using three colors of Radiant Neon Inks. The colors brought out the stenciled design fabulously.

I then decorated further with some torn music score paper, resin flowers, and stamped phrases all of which were also colored with the Radiant Neon Inks to coordinate with my packet before finishing with some collage butterflies and doodling with a black pen.

Supplies Used:
Seed Packet (Template downloaded off the internet and cut from Watercolor Paper)
Altered Pages Supplies, You Matter Art Stamp, TCW Swirly Garden Stencil, Gel Medium, Gesso, Beautiful Butterflies Collage Sheet, Bazzill Antique Papers Pack, Resin Flowers, Niji Waterbrush, Black Micron Pen,
IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko Radiant Neon Inks Electric Yellow, Electric Green, Electric Pink, Jet Black Staz On Midi, and Ink Blushers.

And don't forget Altered Pages is having a GIVEAWAY for the month of June to celebrate our partnership with IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko. You can win simply by leaving comments on our blog posts like this one right here. Come back and comment every day for more chances to win! The winner will be drawn July 1st.

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.

Hi all! Becky here today! I have been in a circle-mood lately & have been doing circles on everything! So why not do some circles with some of my Gelli Prints??? Here's a simple little card I made using 4 different circle punches, a black pen & some previously made Gelli prints! Hope you're enjoying Springtime in your area! Cheers!
