Wooo Hooo!!!   Happy Halloween!!!!   Well, if you've stuck with it you'll know this is the culmination of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween.  We've had an entire month full of spooks, haunts and scary goodness and to finish it off I'd like to share my Box of Bones   But it doesn't really have bones in it... Just a whole lot of corny Halloween joke cards!     Initially I sanded the candy tin then covered it with a layer of black ink. I sanded a bit more so some of the red/gold would show through.   I then set about adding gobs of gesso to the lid ~ next I pushed in "bits" of a plastic skeleton I had previously cut apart submerging the pieces about half way.  I let the gesso dry overnight.   The next day I painted the gesso and bones with another layer of black acrylic paint.  Once that layer had dried I rubbed a bit of metallic acrylic paint over the bones to really make them pop.  ...

Hey everyone, well we are getting down to the wire!! Can I have a big Scary Cheer for all the amazing artists that have inspired us during this ghoulishly awesome blog hop!!! I just want to thank all of you for joining in and for your wonderful comments!! Today I bring you a little bit of craziness. I am in love with Zettiology and of course Collage art. So when I received some most gnarly images from Altered Pages and Smeared Ink I knew I would have to find a way of throwing them all together to create a page in my art journal for today's project. So without further ado here is my fun Zetti art journal page using their awesome collage and digi images.   A Poe in a bottle anyone? LOL   I began with a blank page in my art journal, adding several pieces of torn book pages I  then sprayed the page with several different colors of Dylusions ink.  Next I did a little snipping and pasting of different parts of the collage and digi images to ...

One Bite...     Today I wanted to share a nifty little collage I assembled on top of a bingo card.  I first covered it with a layer of gesso and then sprayed it with grape & cut grass Dylusions Inks which I added a spritz or two of water.  As I was drying it with my heat tool I was tilting the card this way and that to get the cool veins of color.   I added Dracula & the "bite" both from the collage sheet Vintage Vampires and I also printed out the digital image of the stacked skulls from the Gothic Halloween Stamp set  and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I fussy cut the skulls and finished it off with the sentiment.   One Bite and all your dreams will come true....   Have a spooktacular day!   Ink Stained Roni

Since today is my birthday I thought it would be fun to create a Day of the Dead birthday card!   It was made using pattern papers from Graphic 45's Bohemian Bazaar and a few sugar skulls from the Calaveras Digi Set by Smeared & Smudged !   Each of the skulls was colored using Spectrum Noir markers and added to it's own matching pattern paper panel.   Be sure to search for today's hidden image (hint found on Terra's blog) and you might just be one of the lucky winners!   Good Luck All!   Ink Stained Roni

 I finished my set of three paper mache coffins you can find here in our shop. I painted them with gold paint and used deco paper and washi tape   Inside I added Collage sheets for Halloween, Skulls, moss and flower decor.  This was really fun to make . Very simple and it sparkles!  Gotta love the Death Cab and poem stamp from Smeared and Smudged  . Halloween's almost here...   so it's time to get your Halloween on!!!   This was so much fun to make! A little whimsy to remind you just what time of year it is ;)   My little pumpkin hottie is from the collage sheet Moulin Rouge that I added a pumpkin from the collage sheet - Pumpkin, It's what for dinner .   This canvas also features the gargoyle from the AP Gothic Halloween Set of stamps.   Hope you're having fun Halloween hoppin' !

I LOVED making this!!!  SOOO fun!! Specimens!  and some blood too!! I got the awesome  SpecimenBottles  from the Altered Pages store.  Then, I had to find things to put in them. I also got the AWESOME  G45 Steampunk Spells Paper .  And that made it soooo easy because one of the sheets of paper had these titles on it.  SO I just had to try to make what they said.  Here, you see my version of Beetle Juice, a mixture of worms and scorpion parts.  The  Elixir  tags are also from the Altered Pages site.  I used them to write what was in the bottle or jar.  You just saw a rats tail!! Now you see the Eye of Newt, Wool of Bat and Toe of frog (poor frog!).  And a better look at the "Blood"!! Finally, a Zombie finger!! I hope you make your own Specimens! xxDaniella

Everyone still Halloween Hopping? ( Linkys are up in the right hand corner.)  So I started making a big hunkin' project, using (what else?) Altered Pages collage images, plus some pretty awesome Smeared digis, but  . . .  ended up with two smaller pieces instead.  First, Bettie and Bertram are still in hell, this time with a Dante's Inferno twist (Mr. Gargoyle is AP): All about the candy, oh yes! What do you think?  Is the blood on the toothbrush too much? Bertram and Bettie, still aflame.   (The wonderfully detailed pedestal/column is from S&S.) And second, an altered tin: Smeared digi  But not just ANY altered tin.  This one is a Halloween  PLAY SET! Mustachioed and behatted, ready to fly-- AP has a great selection of wings, btw-- MWAAA, big kiss, sweetie! Because, after all, ghouls just wanna have fun.
