Welcome to Day 11 of the 31 Days of Halloween

Who let the Skeletons out of the closet???

Here's what I did.... I started off by painting a piece of with cardstock using Art Anthology's Limeaid Velvet Dimensional paint.  I applied the first layer and let it dry then I went back in and added a second layer using a bit more paint so I could leave visible brush strokes in the finished look.

I then used a paper punch to make a slimy looking border.  Looks so cool in person because all of those brush strokes makes it look icky - LOL!!

I took a piece of the textured cardstock from Lucy Crab Shack and highlighted the pattern using several colors of Gelatos which I smeared around with my finger.

I then printed out the skull from the collage sheet - Halloween 1950's  in multiple sizes, cut them out and affixed them to the card in layers - some glued directly to the card panel, others mounted using double stick foam tape for depth and dimension.

And finally I made this fun skeleton flower using Bazzill Paper Flowers and a fun skull bead!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
